Navid Sedaghati

With over 15 years’ experience in legal practice and multiple admissions as a barrister domestically and in overseas jurisdictions, Navid is available to represent clients in a broad range of matters in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and England.

Principally specialising in the areas of commercial law, corporations law and private international law, Navid’s practice extends to the oil, gas, mining, information technology, intellectual property, telecommunications, shipping, maritime and fast-moving consumer goods sectors. He has acted for a diverse range of clients; from individuals and boutique companies, to some of Australia’s and the world’s most recognised corporations and brands, including Panasonic, Telstra, Vodafone, Optus and KNet Technology.

Navid has gained considerable experience through successfully representing or supervising more than 4,000 legal matters, with litigation at all levels, including Federal and Supreme Courts. Complementing his domestic practice, Navid’s international practice has seen him provide complex advice and effective representation in litigated matters involving conflict of laws and where cross-jurisdictional issues arise. His global experience also extends to representing clients in international commercial arbitrations and mediations.

Navid’s qualifications include degrees in Law, Economics, Banking and Finance, and a Master of Laws. He is also an accredited mediator pursuant to the Australian National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS).
